El Mundo reveals the secret clause that Barcelona imposes on new signings

Barcelona are fighting for a sufficient salary cap this summer to be able to sign all the players who have renewed their contracts as well as the new deals that have to come.

The club presented a feasibility plan that must be approved by the La Liga League, but the newspaper “El Mundo” revealed that Barcelona had put in place a secret clause for players in the event that they could not be registered, stipulating a deadline in which they could search for their future.

According to this information, the new contracts that Barcelona will sign and that the new deals must make it clear that the door opens on July 21 for the players to terminate the contract in the event that there is not a sufficient salary limit for their registration.

It will happen in the cases of players who arrive with a rhetoric of freedom, such as Inigo Martinez (Athletic Bilbao) and Gundogan (Manchester City), who are practically unstable.

Barcelona is trying to include these two players in addition to Lionel Messi in the next project. In addition, work is being done on the arrival of a left winger, a second striker, and possibly a midfielder who is ahead of the defence. In any case, the sports area first gives priority to registering players who have renewed their contracts.

The contracts that Barcelona will offer to players who arrive without cost will be completely valid until July 21 and everything indicates that these players will accept because the Blaugrana club is firmly convinced that everyone will be able to register after an ambitious plan for viability with a reduction in salary, advertising income and sales of some players.
